Problem and Project Goals
For decades, professional sports leagues have been aware of the long-term health impacts of being a professional athlete. New research highlights the need for ongoing rehabilitation, both physical and mental, even after retirement. Retired athletes report limited support from their teams or leagues for injury recovery. At present, the solutions that exist are limited in continuity of care and lack a focus in athlete recovery.
cubby.connect was designed to connect retired athletes to one another to foster successful injury rehabilitation by offering tools, advice, and support. The goal would be to have users share tailored recovery programs, access medical and mental health recommendations, track progress, and engage in educational and inspiring online communities.

Right Screen: Upon selection of a user profile card, a user profile modal will appear with a profile description and two Call to Action buttons, one of which will allow the onboarding user to initiate sending a message to the connected profile.
